Mosasaurs (pronounced MOES-ah-SAWR) were giant snake-like marine reptiles that grew up to 60 feet long. They were powerful swimmers that adapted to live in shallow seas. These carnivores did not have gills but still breathed air like crocodiles do today. They were a short-lived line of reptiles that went extinct during the K-T extinction, 65 million years ago.

The fossil here is a composite and is made up from genuine Mosasaur Teeth and Bone but has been reset into a stabler matrix. The Fossils are found all jumbled up and when assembled may come from more than one mosasaur. Complete jaws are rarer and fetch a lot of money and look very much the same as these composite ones. This specimen comes from the Cretaceous of Moroco.
